About Chisato Morishita
Chisato Morishita has served as a Member of the House of Representatives for Miyagi 4th district within Miyagi Prefecture since February 2026, where she won the seat in the 2026 Japanese General Election. Before winning 4th district, she was elected as a Member of the House of Representatives via the Tohoku proportional representative block in the 2024 Japanese General Election.
She is also the Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Environment (Under Minister of Environment Hirotaka Ishihara) within the current Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takaichi's cabinet since October 2025.
She currently resides in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture.
